Here, every chick is raised like family, not just livestock.
The Nurtured Nest pullets receive over 50 hours of hands-on care before you ever take them home. That means hours of daily socialization, lap time, naps tucked under an arm, gentle handling, and constant attention to their health, happiness, and personalities.
These aren’t birds raised in bulk in a crowded brooder. They’re companions, nurtured one-on-one from hatch day to your backyard.
When you adopt from us, you're also skipping the most stressful and delicate part of raising chicks like the early weeks of managing their heat needs, carefully lowering temperatures from 90°F to outdoor levels, dealing with messy brooder cleanups, and watching for pasty butt and other common health risks. We've done the hard part for you!

Each bird is raised in a clean, enriching environment that supports natural immunity and low stress. We know their routines and personalities, so if anything seems off, we catch it quickly.
Our girls rise with the sun and settle down at dusk, just like you’ll want them to in your own coop.
Our chicks and pullets are never confined to plastic tubs or wire floors. They grow up with plenty of space to scratch, sunbathe, play, and simply enjoy being chickens.
We believe that when chickens are raised with care and respect, they become calm, curious, and deeply people-friendly.
